Give the artwork a location
Supply the artwork version, visible faces and placement dimensions. Check the mark at actual size with seams, folds, texture and opening edges shown.
Distinguish effect from process
A gold-toned photograph does not prove hot foil; a matte appearance does not prove a particular coating. Ask the team to propose a process for the selected material, then review the physical result.
Approve the set as a set
Compare colors and mark placement across each requested box, bag and card. A shared digital file does not settle the appearance on different surfaces or formats.
