Separate the components
Identify the structural shell, exterior covering, jewelry-contact surface and any accessory. A leather-look, velvet-named or wood-patterned reference does not establish the composition of every component.
Connect the material to the job
Provide the intended handling, jewelry contact and artwork requirements. Ask for the proposed construction to be reviewed on the selected sample rather than promising a particular durability from a material label.
Name the claim that matters
If recycled content, FSC sourcing or another environmental property is required, specify which component and what evidence is needed. Claims apply to the actual order and supporting documentation.
